Man Who Crashed Into Gate of Jennifer Aniston’s Bel-Air Home Charged

May 8, 2025

A Mississippi man has been charged after crashing his vehicle through the front gate of Jennifer Aniston’s Bel-Air home on Monday.

Los Angeles County District Attorney Nathan J. Hochman charged Jimmy Wayne Carwyle with one count each of felony stalking and felony vandalism. He also faces an aggravating circumstance of the threat of great bodily harm.

“Stalking is a crime that can quickly escalate from harassment to dangerous, violent actions, threatening the safety of victims and our communities,” Hochman wrote in a statement Wednesday. “My office is committed to aggressively prosecuting those who stalk and terrorize others, ensuring they are held accountable.”

Carwyle is accused of repeatedly harassing the Emmy-winning actress between March 1, 2023 and May 5, 2025, sending her unwanted social media messages, voicemails and emails, according to the district attorney’s office.

On Monday, just before 12:30 p.m., Carwyle allegedly crashed his vehicle through Aniston’s gate, causing substantial damage. He then stopped in her driveway before being arrested by her security guard until police officers arrived.

Carwyle’s arraignment is set for Thursday. Prosecutors intend to request that statutory bail be set at $150,000. If he’s convicted of his charges, he faces three years in state prison.

“I want to thank law enforcement and our Stalking and Threat Assessment Team, particularly Deputy District Attorney Sam Hulefeld, for their outstanding work in this case,” Hochman added. “By working together, we are ensuring that dangerous individuals are taken off our streets.”

Aniston is best known for her roles in Friends, Murder Mystery, We’re the Millers and The Morning Show, among dozens of others.
